A short-term van lease fixes a commercial vehicle agreement, most often at 6 or 12 months. Servicing, maintenance, road tax, manufacturer warranty and commercial breakdown cover come standard; insurance, fuel, racking and any livery are yours to arrange. Fleet pricing currently starts around £379 a month plus VAT, and VAT-registered businesses can typically reclaim the full VAT on a van used strictly for work.

Frequently asked questions
It's real, and along with 12 months it's one of the two terms we supply most in the commercial fleet. Expect one to two months' rental as an initial payment, then fixed monthly instalments until the van goes back at the end.
Starting point is roughly £379 a month plus VAT for a medium panel van on six months at 1,500 miles monthly. Bigger vans, automatics and specialist conversions cost more. Whatever the number, it arrives in writing alongside the initial payment, mileage allowance and excess-mileage rate.
Twelve, per month, since the depreciation spreads across double the payments. Six months costs more monthly in exchange for a shorter tie-in. Match the lease length to your actual contract's end date rather than defaulting to the cheaper rate.
If you're VAT-registered and the van's strictly work-only, generally the full 100% — unlike a car, where the norm is only half that. Confirm your specific position with your accountant.
An excess charge applies, at a pence-per-mile rate agreed before you sign. Vans on busy London rounds chew through mileage faster than people expect, so quote it honestly upfront rather than optimistically.
Occasionally, stock-dependent. More typically it arrives plain and you fit your own, which is fine as long as it comes out cleanly and any damage is sorted before handback. Flag it when you're getting a quote so we know in advance.
