Manual vehicles, available now

A smaller and shrinking slice of the fleet, though still asked for by drivers who prefer being in control, and usually the cheaper of the two where a model offers both.

In short

Manual gearboxes still turn up on a narrowing list of models, mostly smaller hatchbacks and some commercial vans. Where a car's offered in both manual and automatic form, the manual usually comes in a touch cheaper on a like-for-like contract.

Frequently asked questions

Yes — manual vehicles show up across subscriptions, flexible leases and fixed short-term leases from 1 to 24 months. What's on this page is genuinely available now.

Not as a rule — it comes down to the individual model. Some cars charge a small premium for the automatic version; plenty of current models are automatic-only, in which case there's simply nothing to compare.

It is. Every electric and plug-in hybrid on our fleet runs an automatic transmission of some form — there's no manual EV on the market to offer even if we wanted to.
